Larry explains how to model the character with two very different methods, spheres and spline's. Each method has it's pro's and con's and Larry explains each in depth. In fact we had not ever seen anyone use the sphere method but it works amazingly well and is accurate and fast. We were all very excited to see this method and to add it to our pipeline.

Then Larry moves on to cover a few rigging techniques with a focus on easy, fast animation or posing.

Lastly Larry covers detailing the character, covering the face, ears, hands and mask.

Combined this video is more than 6 hours of training covering the cover character, Lil' Big Man. If you are looking for training to take you to the next level with cartoon characters, this video is a great tool for you. Suggested for beginner to intermediate LightWave 3D users, this video covers techniques that apply to LightWave 3D 8 and 9 as well.
